When British Coach Works assembled a car, did they use all new parts?

Ric,  In digging through the various discussions here and elsewhere it appears that the raw materials used to build the BCW’s were indeed new and purchased directly from GM or perhaps even through a GM sub-contractor.

I may have already mentioned this, but my BCW is actually titled as an “ASC” which may stand for “American Sunroof Corporation” – a GM subcontractor who did installation of “non-standard/semi-standard” items for GM in the 1970’s and 80’s (and also peculiar front grill conversions).
I have speculated that some of the BCW components came via ASC and that is why mine is titled as such even though it carries the firewall BCW tag and build number.
