Just got my new MGTD home.  It is a British Coach Works Type 52.  Title says 1986 MGTD.  It has a Chevette engine and 4 speed trans.  Do members here know which car parts are used for suspension, rear axle, steering, etc.

Don’t know where to buy parts as mine is a VW based unit but your car looks great – congrats and welcome.

That car is all kinds of win. I believe that the drivetrain and front suspension are all from the Chevette. There should be an adaptor that makes the hubs work with those VW wheels. I’d love to see more pictures of that one.

I’ll take pictures of any part you would like.  I would like to convert hubs to 5 bolt chevy pattern.

Looks like a Brooklands windscreen to me. Usually seen on competition cars:

Ed. You have Brooklands. This one looks like they mount to where the wiper shaft comes through the body. Is that how they mount? Thinking of hunting down a set for a later mod.

Allen, I have Brookland’s also. No, they mount on the hump just above the Speedo and tach. You will have to drill 4 small holes in the fiberglass hump.

Roy is right, Allen. They go on the scuttle top behind the main windscreen, and if you mean to keep your folding screen in place you need to test fit and measure carefully. I blogged about fitting mine a couple years back.

Original TD steering wheel! I’d love to know how that was adapted. The original center cluster Also’s a stand-out.

Look like TF seats, too. Very cool interior on that car.

I was told that the car was built by the factory.

TF seats.  Thanks.  I knew they looked familiar and were not the original TD
