Its on a 85 chevette chassis. The car will only start in neutral not in park. Any Ideas? Also have been trying to remove the gear shift knob to replace but it will not budge… Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks. If that’s the case than the neutral safety switch would be suspect. I removed mine and made a wooden handle for it, and the emergency brake ,turn signal . on the neutral safety switch i would check that first. I think,”As much wood as possible.” I made a wood shift lever knob similar to yours, but just haven’t gotten around to putting it on. I guess I think it turned out so well, I’m afraid it’ll break! WOOD IS GOOD! Amor Conquista Todo Author Posts Viewing 6 posts - 1 through 6 (of 6 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
