    @edsnova

    So I been contemplating this for a year and think I’m finally going to do it over the winter: put some proper vintage race car numbers on Bridget’s doors, grill, etc. plus some other stickers for that “just came back from Watkins Glen” look.

    I’m thinking 12-inch off-white rondells on the doors, number 68 in black on them, and maybe a Finzio’s Sinclair sticker on each lower bonnet.

    Whataya’ll think of that?

    I ask, ’cause, several of the Speedster guys have done up their rides as period racers*, but I’ve yet to see a TD replica dressed that way.

    I remember seeing an old news phoyograph (black and white) of a TD with No. 15 (I think) on it. You don’t see it that often. Were you thinking permanent or something temporary?

    edsnova,

    Here’s the MGTD Midget site with racing TDs. Enjoy!

    I was thinking static cling–at least for the meatballs.

    Ah, for the Cobra. I was wondering who I’d missed with meatballs on their TD.

    Thanks for the link. RatRacing is in the running. I might go local though.

    I want to get all done for under $50. Especially since I might end up not liking it…

    Meatballs are good for another 10 hp or so I’ve been told 🙂

    What are you going to do for a roll bar?

    @1oldbuzz

    2″ conduit for electric wires,some of those float noodles split down the middle and put over the conduit,then wrap it in electrical tape,should give a good representation of a roll bar for under $20

    HAR!

    That’s a great idea, oldbuzz, but then: with all that extra horsepower from the roundells, plus the extra confidence from the “rollbar”, I might get myself into trouble!

    Went with Squier Design. They were easy and quick.

    I like the folding windshield and Brooklands screens. Very retro.

    Now you need the leather strap across the bonnet.

    Love it Ed – now you need a 2110 w/ dual carbs, hot cam etc. –

    Raby Type 4.

    Squeezing it under that rear deck, though . . . that’s the challenge.

    Actually, affording it would be the challenge.
