Holy crap! Just noticed: did the TB have cowl-mounted wipers?They went from top-frame mount, down to cowl, back up to top for the TC and TD, then back down to the cowl for the TF and ever after?

Boy, the TD looks like a radical departure, eh? It was, too: wider, rack & pinion steering, the steel wheels. The rear suspension was different too.I think the wood was held over in small part because steel was a bit scarce in the immediate post-war years. Coal and steel were both spotty across europe for years after the war.

I like ’em tan meself. But truly, anything goes! I saw a tartan convertible top on a Mustang a few years back & thought it was the coolest thing ever.

I’ll mock it up and put it here for discussion. But right, it’s to be a benevolent (I hope and intend) dictatorship. 🙂

Greg,, you have to like the color  but ,,I to have not seen a green toped TD . I have only ordered 1 car with a white top, car that was a 92 Mustang all the outhers were black [6] it is just easyer to keep clean. I just got my FIRST hard top car this year and a 4 door yet   But I still have 2 convertables  a Camaro and my TD   ,,,,, Dan

I don’t believe it was ever done as an original TD, butthat’s the beauty of a home built car. You can do what youlike as you like.Import a photo into “Paint” or “Photoshop” and change thecolor and take a look.

Everyone has a story about MG’s Twice i was asked if it was a Rolls Royce. I was in a 4th of july parade where people walked along the parade route with me asking questions.I’ve been asked if it has twelve under the hood.Older women are all over it.Everyone thinks its a real one .If i tell them its a vw they become more interested.
