vw. I installed an internally regulated alternator. I put B+ on and the other wire on D+. The alt. full fielded and got fried. Can anyone make sense of this. The alt has an additional spade connector in the white block but I don’t know what it is. One wire comes off the ignition swicth and goes to B+. the other wire goes from D+ back to the Volt gauge. One wire goes from the Batt. on the Ign. switch to the same post on the Volt gauge as the D+. I can’t put the B+ wire back on the Volt gauge (same post) because the car won’t stop running. Open for sugestions. Thank you!
