Initial Registration in Georgia???

I am trying to find out what the rules are for initial registration  in Georgia.   During a call to the local office I was told:  “Georgia does not title or register KIT CARs and has not for 10 years”

Not wanting to ingage this person any more — I droped the subject.

So — Has anyone registered a kit car in Georgia recently? In the last ten years?

IF SO, Was it INITIAL registration or transfer from another state?

Maybe the term KIT CAR is the problem — maybe they are called Custom Built Cars, Replicas or Assembled from parts Cars. or something else.

I donno. But the Goog tells me you’re wanting to title as an “assembled vehicle.”

Looks like you fill out an affidavit & motor on.

Never believe what a govt. clerk tells you w/o checking.
