Went to a local (somewhat) swap meet about 100 miles south of here. All kinds of cars and they even had 4 kit cars. Although they were Gazelles and not TDs it was nice to see some there. Prices ran from $4500 to $8900. The best looking (in my humble opinion) was the car going for the lesser price. All were painted the same an one was a VW based car. The most expensive one was a Chevette based car and the VW based car was in way better shape and didn’t leak oil. The best deal though was the real MGTD. A super looking 52 painted British Racing Green with a Tan interior. That was going for $35K but oh what a great looking car. And at that price it was a steal! No I didn’t get it….but I drooled a lot.

$15k is more like it, from what I’ve seen.
For a possible deal, check this listing. Under $12k ‘buy-it-now’ price for a legit MK-II should be sweet. Surprised no one’s grabbed it yet.
Yeah, it’s missing a fuel pump. And yeah, it’s got the wrong bumpers & hubcaps. But that car appears to otherwise be all there.
Then there’s this one for $4,500. Talk about a “kit car!”

And the $12k IS a good price for the MkII
