    @bob-paula

    We have recently purchased a very nice 1952 Classic Roadster Grand

    Duchess TD with Chev 1600 front engine and drive train. Our (my) need for

    a TD began in the late 1950’s when meeting my first TD while in the USMC.

    Now, 50+ years later I’m finally acting on that “need” !!!

    We’ll be interested in info and ideas from fellow Chev & Classic Roadster

    owners. Also looking for ideas to eliminate the ‘wire hub caps’ and locate

    five (5) ‘original’ Grand Duchess wire wheels    BG/PaulaBob & Paula40091.7884259259

    Welcome aboard Bob & Paula!

    Please click the link in my signature and add a post to the registry thread with the requested info. We’ll be sure to add you to the registry and the fancy map!

    Also, “Classic” was used in the names of a number of manufacturers. Classic Roadsters, Classic Motor Carriages come to mind. But to my knowledge “Classic” by itself is not the name of any manufacturer.

    If you are not sure of the full name, post some pics as Larry suggested. There are plenty of eyes here that should be able to fully ID your car. Heck, post pictures even if you are sure. We all want ot see each other’s cars!

    Once again, welcome! Good people and great knowledge are found here!

    If you own a TDr and are not in the Registry, please go to https://tdreplica.com/forums/topic/mg-td-replica-registry/ and register (you need to copy and paste the link)

    Welcome to the group!

    Y’all are going to have many miles with smiles now that you’ve got a replica TD.

    One quick way to tell what “Classic” your car is that Classic Roadsters Duchess’ have about a 4inch “step” in front of the rear fenders that go down to the running boards rather than the fenders connecting directly at right angles to the boards. I know of no other replicas that have that step.

    Again, Welcome, and please post pictures.
