    I mean, really, much older kits.

    Anyone ever seen one of these mid-’50s Almquist kits in person? PA-made makes me wonder if there was any connection to the later BCW folks. Also thinking that the history of fiberglas fab companies must be rich and fascinating–what with all the runabout boat makers that cropped up in the late 1940s, to say nothing of the car body shops.

    Supposedly these Almquist shells would fit on pretty much any chassis you had on hand. And dig that crazy windscreen!
