I added an upright handle to my parking brake, made out of pipe. I simply cut a slot in the pipe and secured it with two bolts. The only problem was when I first cinched it down it compressed the original handle and the brake release would not function. I put a spacer in the original handle’s opening to keep it from compressing.

I still have to reach to the tip of the original handle to release the brake, but I am thinking up ways to do that from the extension.

I’m gonna try it.  Looks simple enough.  Remember when they were called “emergency brakes”?  I just can’t reach the stock lever.  In an emergency, – fuggedaboudit.

    Pretty creative solution!

And you could hang a cup holder off the vertical handle!
