    @luvmytd

    My bumper uprights are starting to show their age (25 years young).  Should I look in rechroming them or just buy new one’s from MG Magic?

    The easy answer is “it depends”.

    I would check prices for both options and just do the cheapest.

    Moss Motors also has them, part #454-010. But they are pricey at $49.95 each! Yikes!

    They are made VERY well though (see http://www.mossmotors.com/graphics/products/PDF/454-010.pdf)

    In either case, you also want to replace the rubber strips between the overriders and the bumpers. Moss Motors part #400-418, only $5.75 for the set of eight.

    The Moss parts are here:

    I am SURE MG Magic is cheaper. I’ve no idea what rechroming will cost.

    Thanks Paul,

    Once we get down to Florida I will check the condition of the bumper chrome.  I know the uprights need to be replaced.  MG Magic is a little less expensive for the uprights.

    My car has 60″ bumpers which MG Magic no longer stocks so I am hoping that I can polish the bumpers and just replace the uprights.

    Rechroming can cost about $800+ for a bumper/uprght set.

    I also found some  very cool 100 spoke knock off wire wheels on ebay14″X6″ with knock off adapters that fit the 4 bolt 41/4 ford pattern.
