turns out, my tank if rotted out, inside, i have checked internet and found powder coated tank for $118.00 up to $ 277.00 unpainted. they all look alike. what do you buy? Found same brands at different sites with op to $40.00 differnces. really confused.

have been searching internet for new tank and all warn they are coated inside and must be chemically fulused ir they will ruin carb, fuel system etc. is this the case with mg magic/and why is their more expwnsive? thanks Dennis p

My friend was diagnosed with ca. and died very soon after. His widow needs to sell VW TDR. Engine is strong, tranny and all mechanicals appear sold. Body is a nicely buffed out red. Having a problem with venting. rubber hose is clear, but very thin and difficule to blow air through. It leaves vent pipe, at filler neck and goes stright down to hole in pan but gas backs up through cap, and vapor does not exit vent. What diameter hose should I use and what is routing. Thanks to all. Tom, I like the look of the BCW also. To others, I have a Replica for affordability and lower costs in parts and maitainance. My FF Migi is great and has been easy to fix, better fit,ride, performance, etc. My friends with MG TDs have spent more on parts than I have on whole car, in 10 years. Which kit has the most correct body, and uses most td trim. lights, etc? I think it was British coachworks, but nolonger sure. Thanks Dennis P

I used screws, gets wet take them out and dry, replace. Used stainless with the round, raised washers. Looks nice. dennis p

thanks ed, paul and all. I actually decided to do what Edsvova did. Ordered wing nut yester, have spare cable and yes the box has to come out. May be cutting some fberglass to get to rear bolt. Thanks everyone, Dennis P

PS to Kent, Yes, that is the adaptor I have. The cable shreds in hole.

Hi, Paul, your photo of bolt with hole and nut at end is what I have. The cable has split twice in that hole, where cable loops through/ Opened 4×4 patch and clutch hook , cable, qnd tube are directly below and I can get one hand in and now know I must cut cable at hook to get attatchmet end off. since hook is set up so cable cannot come off…[Read more]
