Usually would start fine until it sat for a while. Mine battery tested as good. I cleaned the terminals and it help but randomly it turned over real slow. I added a second ground and that solved the problem. Red light on mine is high/low beam and blue is alternator. Blue stays on until rpm&#8217;s increases or will shut off after a few minutes. Alternator will not charge battery until light goes off, amp gauge verifies that.</p>

The blue light comes on when you start your car but does&#8217;t start charging the battery until the light goes out. That&#8217;s the way mine works. I use an alternator.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The factory frame looks as good as it did in 1986. LR are fairly rare with a factory chassis. Top and tonneu are in great shape. extra windshield. It does need rear shocks because I never got around to change them. Been traveling a lot and only put 50 miles on the car last year. I have picture&#8217;s in the gallery. Also has a built in tow system.</p>

If you remove the rear shock you should be able to buy a matching shock. Must do both sides in the rear. 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Be careful when filling it with gas as the side filler is picky, I have to tip the end of the gas nozzle up so it will fill without splashing back at you. got to listen for the gas coming up the filler neck to stop before it kicks back if you are filling it. Also use a gas treatment for ethanol or use non-ethanol  gas. Rebuilding the engine doesn&#8217;t reduce the harm ethanol can cause. Always treat your ethanol gas whether it be your TD or lawn mower, chainsaw etc. Treat all gas that will be used with a carburetor or stored for a period of time. The rear shocks need replacing and I will have to figure out what to use. Coil over shocks in the front and coil springs in the rear. From what I hear is that they didn&#8217;t make that many with the steel frames. They only made them from 1980 &#8211; 1988.
