<p> Welcome to the site. There&#8217;s alot of helpful people here. The Ford/Chevy kits had their own frame that came with the kit. The donor was used for the motor, transmission, front axel etc.<br />

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p> My Chevette TD has a cat (a gutted out one) and during assembly I made a Stainless steel heat shield for protection just to be sure. A working cat can get very hot. I left an air space between the fiberglass floor pan and the shield. I have put on over 2000 miles and have had no problem.<br />

 It sounds as if you changed all the major componets. Did you have a front end or 4 wheel alignment done? I don&#8217;t know if that will help your problem, but it will not hurt. Thats what I did afer the assembly to be sure the car tracked correctly. Also be sure the rear axel is stable. My car had that done during the assembly and it sits level and she drives wonderfuly. I will dig out my manual and let you know how much to cut off.<br />

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p> I don&#8217;t. My car has smooth chrome wheels with a spoked basket which bolts on where the hub cap commonly goes. They arn&#8217;t real spokes but they do look 10 times better than the cheesy spoked hubcaps. I think MG magic in Fla can help or try any auto/ speed shop and you should be able to find them.</p>

 This is the way my Chevette TD was assembled, almost. It was a driving chassis before the body was assembled. Although my  transmission crossmember was bolted vs welded. My tranny is an automatic.<br />
 What other plans do you have for the motor while having it out of the car?</p>
