Great info for the oil change. I am going to do some searching to find a supplier for ZDDP oil. I purchased my TD just 2 weeks ago and am going to change the oil due to not knowing when it was changed last.
I will also look out for the crank case breather. Where is it located? I am also new to VW motors. Will be asking questions from time to time.

I am not going to replace the frame I need to replace the canvas. The previous owner was traveling from Sweetwater, TX to Dallas, TX and the middle of the canvas (from stiching to stiching, windshield to floating bow) let go. I do have what is left of the old one still and will look to find a vendor that can create and install a new one.
Would a ’53 3 Bow top from an original MG like from Moss fit? Is it longer than a ’52?
edsnova
Yes it is a chrome windshield complete with pitting from not being taken care of like it should be. It does fold and the hinge for the hood is on the drivers side.
I am looking to fix the gelcoat. Any suggestions?
