Well as I stated in another post, my son and I recently purchased a CMC chevette kit (unstarted). We decided that the Daytona migi wasn’t enough and thought it might be a cool father and son thing to build another and each have one to drive to shows. We purchased a chevette donor car on craigslist and drove it home. It drove well and was in pretty good shape. We parked it in the garage, took a few photos and began to chop and disect. In 4 nights and one saturday we tore it completely apart and there is nothing left but an empty hull, which my buddy is going to haul away next week. We then rolled out the frame of the kit blocked it up and started bolting up the recently disected parts. In one full saturday we got the front end and rearend bolted up under it front shock mounts attached, moter and trans set in and bolted up. We don’t have SMOG testing here in North-west Washington so we stripped off the smog pump and plugged up the manifold ports. one of the donor springs was broken so we will have to order new springs along with the shocks. We just started to bolt up the steering column and lay out the wire loom. We will also be doing more work to the migi soon, she looks confused as to why she used to get all the attention and now we’re fusing over another women. you know they are like that! Nice looking car/s. How did you manage to get your photo’s uploaded? I get a blank screen when I try.
Will, That’s a good looking MIGI. I really like the chrome wheels with the smoothie hub caps. That is the first CMC chassis I have seen that did not have the body mounted. As Paul said earlier, keep posting pictures of your progress. It;s good to hear that this is a father -son project, a great way to stay close.
I had asimilar problem until I followed these instructions in the forum picture post guidelines. I quote:
Method
If you just want to post random pics of your car or anything that isn’t following a Topic or Thread.
Go to the “TD Replica’s” TopicClick on the
Next: click on the
Browse your computer for the Picture and double click it.
Next click the Ok button and wait for the file to upload to the server.
A folder will automatically be made for all pictures you post. The folder will be named according to your user name. (i.e. Username= FrankieD Photo Gallery Folder= FrankieD)You can repeat these steps to post multiple image.
If you only want the photos to show up in your gallery and not in a posting, simply click out of the New Posting with out hitting the Post New Topic, Update Post or Post Reply button normally used to finish your post.
You can use the same method to post pictures in any thread or topic but be sure you hit the Post New Topic, Update Post or Post Reply button before exiting. This is useful in topics where your picture can clear up the discussion. Also, the picture will be saved in your Gallery for future viewing editing or deleting.

I did it just the way Richard described. I created a thread to upload the photos then deleted the thread. I also had another problem with my photos being too large for the server to accept them. So my son showed me to upload them to photo bucket first, then re-save them as a .jpeg file in a smaller format. At that point they were ready to upload to the thread. Hope I helped and didn’t confuse you further.Will
