    @jmwerth

    I’m very excited to find to answers from you guys.

    I recently purchased a 52 mgtd replica with a 1985 VW Chassis and powertrain.  Its a beauty and I’ve been proudly driving it on sunny days.  However, once i turn on the Headlights, there seems to be a short with the tail lights.  If I wiggle the pull knob, the guages will flicker on and the tail lights will turn on too.  But it seems to be getting more tricky and i’m worried they will just not work when I need them.  Is there a trick to it or a part I should check.  Thanks and looking forward to your wisdom.

    Sounds like some corrosion or wear in your switch or connector to the switch. Check to be sure the connection to the switch itself is clean and tight. Test the system by not wiggling the knob, but the wiring to the switch, that may help narrow the problem down.

    Beautiful TD!

    Brake lights ok?

    Very nice car.

    I agree with James. This sounds like the issue is with the switch and not with any of the lights or wiring,
