This one could be interesting to watch.  Currently at $1800.

Original folding windshield, headlight buckets and mounts, top frame with side curtains, usable grille shell (it appears), and other things that could be valuable…

For an original MGTD that is a good price. I saw one last year go for 25K and it had the sheetmetal and all parts sitting on the rolling TD chassis. AND…it was way rustier than this one. It’ll be interesting to watch how this one goes.

Heck…an original grill shell and slats is almost worth the current bid!

The motor parts are good. Just the air cleaner parts alone are worthy–often lost and sought after by restorers. The windshield, the dash center cluster. The differential, transmission, stearing…. The hood panels are needed by many restorers to correct crash damage or POs with enthusiasm–but not skill–for customization.

Even the steering wheel could be brought back.

Agreed. If someone picked it up for under $3k they could turn over the parts and make a few bucks. It would take time and work though.
