Wow! Very clean. I don’t think the finish on mine ever looked that good.

Hi Jack. Welcome! Congratulations on your new addition.
Instructions for your seat can be found in the library. All the build manuals are found there.
Not being a VW guy, I can’t help with anything else.
Enjoy your build.

Ed, I’d like to both thank you and commend you on your work to make the Carlisle weekend a success. Even in light of some minor car trouble I had a very good time. I was good to see Paul’s return and have your wife, Karen, show up. Greg and Sharon’s appearance was a nice addition. As always, the regulars, yourself, Al and Rose, and Speedster…[Read more]

Paul, check the map. We’re way down in the corner where they do the judging.

Oh, if it wasn’t for the price tag. Can’t imagine a TD with the S2000 engine. High horsepower and the ability to sing to 9,000 rpm.
Excellent suggestion, Ed.

Have you ever considered a Miata transplant? I don’t believe you were at Carlisle the year “Bob” from Nova
Scotia showed up with a TF replica based on the Miata platform. Powerful enough with plenty of upgrades available.
Good luck on your endeavor.

We usually stay as a group at the Courtyard Marriott in Mechanicsburg. They have given us a break on room rates and allowed use of their conference room for us to hang out. Pricing has not been finalized for this year yet. Looking forward to it.

Well another VA Beach trip is in the books. Unfortunately, the use of the rain date resulted in the loss of the great Ed Ericson but the weather was superb. I left at 5:30 Friday morning and met with Dale at Horne’s for a late breakfast in Port Royal, VA then a beautiful ride along the river on 17 then on into VA Beach. Arrived at 4:30 after 11…[Read more]

Change of plans. I can’t count on the MG running cool enough to make the trip. I will, instead, take a chance with Roy’s Mini. That’s been trouble free now for quite a while. Just a heads up. Wish me luck.

A good upholstery shop or boat shop could make these.

I might be ready. My car is finally back on the ground after being incapacitated since June.
After the Pagoda Hillclimb I had a rear shock leak all its fluid out. It was 20 years old so I removed the pair and shipped them out to the California manufacturer for a rebuild. These are double adjustable coil overs. Their website states a two week…[Read more]
