While viewing several MG TD photos in the club membership, there appears to be a difference in how the top mounts to the body. Later model Fibberfab kits have the top bows mount to the inside of the body. There are several TDs that have the top bows mounted to the top of the body tub just behind the doors. Are they the Classic Roadster kits? Something that we can add to the kit comparison listing. How do the top bows mount on everyone elses TDs?

Slowly coming back from the ashes...My London Roadster has the mounts on top of the tub. My BCW has them inside the tub.While the inside type are more like the original MG, the bows rub the sides of the seat back and the trim where the carpet meets the top of the tub when lowering the top. The top mounted variety are more stable,but it’s largely a matter of personal preference and which type mounting brackets came with the kit.
Dittos to Larry: The BCW’s are inside. On Original TDs, the seat backs are relieved to clear the more elaborate original style top bows, which pivot forward so the canvas and bows can all clear the edge of the tub.
