    Dear Ed, Saw the photo of your intertior with banjo wheel, wow.  Where did you get it and how does it go on?  Thanks, Dennis p

    so-cal customs sells the wheel with a hub that bolts to the grant three-hole hub you probably have now. I had to drill out the top plate holes a little to make up for the aluminum thickness–though it’s probably possible to slide the lock and signal switch carrier down the shaft an eighth inch to accomplish the same result. 

    I know: spendy. I never regretted its purchase though. And you can pay quite a lot more.

    To my knowledge, the wheel and spokes are the same exact thing you can get at Moss and British Spares, etc. which is marked “Bluemels.” The difference is, that wheel does not come with the hub/adaptor included, and the ones they offer are more suited for duty on an actual MG.
    All that said, measure carefully. These wheels are substantially bigger than the little Grants the car came with, and some Replica models are assembled in such a way as to make replacement with a 16-inch Brooklands wheel quite unwieldy for the driver. I’m a relatively small man and I still have to sort of fold myself into Bridget since installing that wheel.

    Thanks Ed, at 5′ 11″ and 70 yrs young, iit is hard enough getting in and outbut, I might check it out for my 70 mgb gt thta I am finall finishing up.  Thanks Dennis
