I am interested in building a replicar MG TD 1949 to 1953. Probably 1952 as they seem most popular. I have not done this before, but have built from kits, a Vans RV12 full size airplane (2 place). It is aluminum mostly and riveted. The entire front end, tail cone , and wheel pants are fiberglass. I’ve also built many radio controlled fiberglass models including ones that are powered by real jet turbines and fly 200mph. So I’m not a stranger to fiberglass. My question is, with the varried assortment of kit manufacturers out there, is there anyone kit company that is preferred? Or, is there anyone kit company to avoid? Also, is the VW chasis and rear engine preferred over the front engine Ford or Chev? Lots of questions – need help?
