Seems like a decent price to me….what do you guys think?
I’d say that it is worth a look. Whether it’s worth it really depends heavily on how much of the work you are going to do yourself. Pictures are not so good. I think that it needs a new front bumper also. A top with side curtains: plan on $750-$1000. My feeling is that you might do better but maybe not. If you are looking, and you prefer VW powered, search the internet, buy or borrow a VW tow bar and be ready to hit the road and tow your prize home. I really like the one that Paul has been watching with the sepia colored fish eye pictures. It is really easy to put a lot of money into one of these TDs my advice, buy the one needing the least work unless you’re going to build one. Don’t worry, there will still be plenty to tinker with if you buy a nice one.
Worth a look…but there’s a lot of work needed.
You’ll likely disassemble this one completely. Hard to weld in new floor pans with flammable fiberglass sitting on top of the pan!
Driver door panel looks ripped. Might mean you’ll end up redoing the interior too.
But still…worth a look.
