Well, I finally went and did it — I sold my 1st love, ABBY, my FiberFab TDR…but fear not — I still have EMMA, my big-engined BCW MGTD —
I found a really good home and new owner in Raleigh, NC about 120 miles from me.
Getting ready to head out to deliver Abby to her new home —
…like watching one of the kids leaving home for a new life — sad but inevitable it seems —
2 hours and 10 minutes later, Abby being delivered to her new owner Jack (great name, hey!!)
Her new owner Jack is having fun moving the seat bottom and back (I’m not only Happy Jack but also SHORT Jack…) and putting the TD through its paces. He is aware of the TDReplica site and plans on becoming a member — but probably won’t make Carlisle this year.
And by the way, ABBY is REALLY gone — she has been renamed and came through the “change” as ONSLOW– Amazing what a move can do to a car’s personality…!!!
At any rate I wish Jack well and hope he and his wife have as much fun driving Onslow around Raleigh NC as I had refurbishing her, sorting out her worn parts and driving her around Eastern North Carolina.
Now on to getting that pesky e-brake moved on EMMA per Ed’s extremely helpful post on the subject (along with what I documented on this site from my e-brake move on ABBY, ne OSWALD)
Cheers and Welcome Jack to the new and exciting life as a TDr owner
— Happy Jack — with a tear still in my eye for Abby’s demise but a song in my heart for Onslow and her new owner Jack —
