For those who have their battery located in the front rather than under the passenger seat, how long a positive cable do you have?

If you want long battery cable, the best source is your local welding supply store. The cables they stock have more strands per the same gauge cable. Their stuff is made for high current. Using welding cable is better than electrician type cable because current mostly runs on the surface of the strands, so more strands equals more surface area and more current. They also sell a real easy to use hammer driven crimper for the cable ends. I also recommend both soldering and crimping the cable ends. Propane torch works well for this. Make sure you use rosin core solder, not acid core.

Paul, is there some software tweak we can get that will put everything Gabor posts into some kind of special “sticky” thread that’s highlighted so it’s easy to find? Every time the dude taps keys he writes something smart & worth remembering.

Ed, not automatically. And even if there were, I would not set an automatic sticky on any one member’s posts.

I agree Gabe provides a lot of useful info and tips. But that does not quate to 100% of the time.
