    @pink-mg

    The annual south central Pennsylvania gathering of kit and import cars is nearly upon us. The New Jersey Replicar Club and the Speedsters.com “club” will once again hang out together taking in the festivities. I won’t put the hex on us for the usually horrible weather. I think it has rained 12 of the 16 years of the show???

    Activites are planned by the show as well as our club planning some off-site activities. Friday night you have a choice of the always popular All Star Cafe (formerly Rod’s Roadhouse) for grog, grub and dancing. Or, weather permitting, you can follow me to the historic Williams Grove Speedway to watch the “Pennsylvania Posse” winged sprint cars compete. This used to be a ‘World of Outlaws’ stop on this weekend, but in the last few years they’ve competed elsewhere.

    Saturday night, we will attend dinner at the Sunnyside Restaurant in Carlisle, hosting the Speedsters.com club as well as our guests Jim and “Queen Bee” Youngs of Kit Car Builder Magazine and the National Kit Car Club. Jim plans a short talk on the state of the kit car hobby to prime us for desert. Time permitting, we used to hit the local go-kart track for some hot competition.

    Sunday is the “wind down” day and we “elect” who is going to stick around and see who wins the Carlisle Productions “give Away” vehicle at the 3:00 PM drawing. Who knows, maybe we can win a donor car!

    I hope to trailer the “interior-less” BCW Pink MG out to the show…just to shine and pamper it. My new leather seats and panels are complete, I just need to fabricate new mounts. However, my personal situation has prevented a Spring ’05 completion of this project.

    If you are member of this FORUM and will be attending the show, stop by the NJRC tent and chew the fat!
