Wondering what type of horns other Duchesses have. The manual shows two air horns, a large one and a small one with a compressor. Mine has two equal size horns, one on each side with wires running to each. Neither works. I will try to find somewhere to jump it to see if it’s just the switch that is bad. Would appreciate any suggestions.

    thanks

Any horn works. A lot of guys go with the big Wolo “Bad Boy.” Some dudes have an air horn wired to the steering wheel for emergency “scare ’em outta the lane” use, plus a milder “toot toot” horn wired to a button for “hey baby, goin’ my way?” situations.

My car had stock VW horns and they went bad so I got some cheapo Harbor Freight or similar ones and only one of the pair worked so bought a better single horn and I now have mismatched ones wired to a stock Lucas TD horn button on the dash, and nothing wired to the steering wheel horn button. They work fine for both “toot toot” and “HEY I’M DRIVIN’ HERE” situations.
