Thanks for the link.  Makes me put on my thinking cap about how to  mount a video camera to my car and take a ride.  Hmmmmm……..duct tape……bailing wire………or just lean out the door. 

This will need some more planning.

Let me know if you figure something out. I had thought of a helmet cam, but the video would be moving around too much as you’re looking around. I was then thinking of spring mounting just inside the windshield so the wind doesn’t hit the mike. I looked at a tripod between the seats, but ruled that out.

One of my customers on the west coast makes those helicopter gimbal mounted cameras that they use in the Deadliest Catch and Planet Earth series on Discovery. That would work PERFECT, unfortunately they cost $500,000. ea.
