I just purchased a BCW replica and would like to add mirrors to the fenders. I see that there is a plug on the fender that I assume is removed to accommodate the addition of a mirror. Can someone tell me which mirrors I should buy to do the job! Thanks!
June 3, 2013 at 11:18 am #256291Moss Motors sells nice Lucas replica fender mirrors. Suggest you get the ones with convex rather than flat glass.
They’re Style D on this page:BTW, welcome aboard!KentT2013-06-03 11:23:43

I have those mirrors on my TD.You also need two of the gaskets that go between the mirror and fender.Item #22, part number 280-140 on this page:Paul Mossberg

June 3, 2013 at 3:29 pm #256293I think the gaskets come with the mirrors?
Anyway, x2 on the Moss ones. Not too expensive and they’re right. They work.
If you decide you need something more conventional & modern-like, check back. There are cheapish motor cycle mirrors that can be mated to the windshield bracket with a single nut and a washer. Looks pukka & like 1/8 the price of the kit you usually see peddled for TDs. I run without mine usually (so I can fold the windshield flat more easy & quick, but put them on for long runs & when the top is going to be up.
I just can’t remember if the Honda or Yamaha ones were the ticket….
Oh, and: welcome new member Donna!

The gaskets come with the single post mount Moss mirrors. I don’t know about the one higher up the page…Early FF TDr on 69 VW pan
