I just found out about this show in Media, PA. I realize that it is the day after the Virginia Beach show but since there doesn’t seem to be a big contingent going to that show I was wondering if anybody might be interested in going.
Registration is open until October 12th and it costs $15 if you preregister ($20 on the day of the show). They have 3 classes for kit cars; Modified/repro to 1939, 1940 to 1959, and 1960 to 1989. The show will be held at the Delaware County Community College, GPS address 901 Media Line Rd, Media, PA 19063.Here’s the link for the HCCP page where you can find the registration form.Vicenç - (bee sense)

October 20, 2014 at 1:54 pm #261664The wife and I went to the HCCP show on Sunday in Media, PA. There were a lot of cars and tons of people there. The organizers put Montse in the VW paddock. I guess since there was only one other replica, a 1936 Mercedes Benz 500K built on a Lincoln Mark II frame with a Cleveland engine, they had no other place to put us.It was a great show and I had a lot of fun. We have gone to a lot of car shows before but this is the first time we had a car in a show. Met a lot of great people and it was great way to spend a Sunday. Here’s another shot of me and Montse next to the 1961 Porsche that also got put in the VW paddock. This was the only other replica car in the show – a 1936 Mercedes 500KMe and the owner of the replica 500K (in the background). A real nice guy that bought the kit in 1984 and took 26 years to get it out on the road!Maybe next year we can get some guys from this group there.Vicenç - (bee sense)

October 20, 2014 at 2:52 pm #261665The Porsche owner must have loved being in the VW area! 😉
That Mercedes appears to be a Heritage. I know a few of those cars and owners. Beautiful machines!Paul Mossberg

October 20, 2014 at 3:07 pm #261666Paul, the Porsche guy was a really nice guy and a lot friendlier than the VW people. I heard someone say to him “you must love being in VW purgatory” and he just blew it off.
I’m not too familiar with the 500K kits. I remember reading about them in Kit Car Magazine back in the late 80s. The guy told me that this was one of the very first 500K kits made and that there weren’t that many of them. If that describes the Heritage, then you are right. All I know is that it is an awesome looking car.Sabreur762014-10-20 15:07:30
