Do you have a relay switch installed?

If so, maybe just change the fuse. I bew a couple yesterday for no apparent reason. Lots on my car are just old.

Gary If the fuse and wire getting hot if the fuse did not blow check that you have the correct gage wire to light ,it will over heat if it is to light to handle the amperage    Dan

Yow, I’m stupid. Don’t just put in a bigger fuse–not what I meant. Put in a good fuse of the correct size for that circuit, and see if it gets hot.

Ditto Dan re the wire gauge. Feel and see if its hot.

But definitely install a headlight relay switch if there isn’t one on the circuit already. Relays make everything better.

Your headlights might be drawing more amps than the originals did.

Ran into the same problem, (almost burned my thigh on the switch!).

Relays fixed it!  Looking at wiring diagrams, it seems they used the bare minimum on some of the circuits. Plan on relays sooner or later.
