    @azray

    I probably doing this all wrong and in the wrong forum but I need help now. Where do I buy a speedometer cable long enough for my Duchess on a 1972 VW pan. Speedo drive in left front wheel. It’s about 7 feet.

    Any help greatly appreciated,

    Ray

    This TD is the second MG I've owned. First was a Bright Yellow 1968 MGB GT. If I was going to drive a small car I wanted to be SEEN. The Lucas fuel pump went south on it just after 4 mouths. Enough Said. - I joined the Prescott Antique Auto Club just after moving to Prescott about 9 years ago. Since joining I've had a 1929 Model A Roadster, a '64 Falcon, '57 Mustang, (2 wheeler) and I built a 1/2 scale '29 Model A Speedster.

    Welcome!

    You need a early VW bus speedometer cable. They are approx 6 feet 9 inches

    Here’s one for ‘60-‘67:

    ‘68-‘74 bus cable is 8 feet:

    Paul – Thanks for the fast reply. I had measured from dash to front axle, added some for the bend to front wheel and came up with 7 feet. Looks like 6 ft 9 in will do it. I’ll order one this AM.

    Thanks Again
