Likr “red” said, the original kit manufacturers provided assembly manuals.
These are not owners’ manuals in the traditional sense. I varying degrees of detail, they were the “big car” equivalent of the instructions in your plastic scale model kits.
Also, I would bet that thsoe that bought turn-key cars received nothing.
If you can get an assembly manual for your car, great!
On this site, we have:
- FiberFab manuals for Pinto and VW based kits
- Classic Motor Carriages (CMC) for Chevette and VW (the later manuals after FiberFab bought out CMC)
I have the Classic Roadsters Ltd. asssembly manual for their VW based kit. It is not yet here on the tdreplica site.
In addition to an assembly manual, you should also pick up serviceand repair manuals for your donor car, whatever that happened to be.
