I’m sure it will vary. It is also possible they used reproduction VW pans, which would mean they do not carry a VW production year.
Under your seat you will find an access panel over the front of the transaxle. VW stamped the production VIN into the top of the center tunnel, next to that access panel.
Find that number and look up the year of manufactur here:

If there is no VIN stamped into the chassis, your car was built on an aftermarket pan.
