My oil pressure runs at 60psi and then drops to 40 from what i read this is to high I run straight 30 weight. If i go to 10w 30 or 5w 20 will this improve this . I think the high pressure is causing seal problems.
You should try 10w30 oil, it won’t hurt anything and will reduce your oil pressure when the engine is cold. Are you sure that your gauge is accurate?
Today was a beautiful day. My wife and i went for a ride no oil issues This morning i got rid of the 30 weight oil put 10 w 30 in. started it up went to 60 psi for 5 min. dropped to 40 and stayed at 15 to 25.made several stops coffee etc. oil pressure good no leaks. Thanks to every one on there advice on oil leaks and pressure.Looking forward to a no tow summer
