Howdy, first question and post on this forum. I recently acquired a kit and started slowly assembling it. I got to the pedal assembly. After making my cuts, filing and painting it didn’t line up to well with the frame. The 90° angle where the pedal assembly bracket rests is off. Meaning it has really great contact on only 2 very small points not the entire bracket contacts. How often was the factory hole drilled wrong if at all?

I located 2 chevettes and went to town. Both brackets fit better so I think maybe slight bending to get the original to match up. That makes no vertical contact on the frame with all of the assemblies. Thank you for the time guys.

I don’t know the deal with someone saying in actual part number for the shocks so a private message with a part number? Seems proprietary?

I hope to make my kit factory correct with slight modifications like an aftermarket steering column. If anyone knows any tips that’d be great. I spent my budget already.

    Welcome Charles!

I don’t see a problem with anyone posting part numbers.

What’s knowledge like that worth if we don’t share it, eh?

I recently posted a video of me starting the chevette engine on YouTube. I still am playing with it. Trying to trade it for something else more up my alley. Here’s the link https://youtu.be/MSAg70tzIKQ
