Ok guys,  I now understand!!  I bought my TD and it came with bias tires. The ride was so bad that I almost hated to take it out. I did everthing with suspension, shocks, torsion leaves, tire pressure and still nothing but hard bumps ever if i only ran over a dime.

Just got back from the tire store and had installed 165×80-15 radials.  Guys the tire store was 25 miles from home and I thought I was driving a Lexus home.  Man what a difference and that is with the tire pressure that the installer set.  I may play with some tire pressure as suggested here in the forum — But man if you havn’t GO WITH RADIALS.

I had bias ply on my Duchess for probably the first ten years or so. You are right. The change in ride was very noticeable when I finally switched to radials.
