I have read that if company A needed a fender (for example) they would go to company B, borrow or buy it and use it in company A’s TDr.
Daytona Automotive Fiberglass lists it’s add as 819 Carswell Ave, Holly Hill, Fla. (from one of their brochures)
Fiberfab lists it’s address as 852 Carswell Ave, Holly Hill, Fla. (letterhead from the company president)
So, I did a google map search. These two addresses are within a couple of hundred feet of each other and on a relatively quiet street. Going to the “street view” you can easily see one from the other. They are almost directly across the street from each other. So close, that it would be hard to imagine that they did not share parts and perhaps even employees. Another thing that struck me was that neither place looks very large. (maybe 10,000 sq ft max)
At very least, they knew each other very well.

That might work between these two.But lest a newcomer to the hobby be mislead….there is not complete interchangability betweenall manufcturers. For ecample, London Roadster, BCW, Classic Roadsters Ltd., Allison and Lafer parts likely do not interchange with each other nor with any other manufacturer.Paul Mossberg

March 24, 2015 at 3:10 pm #263849Paul, I agree except in the case of London Roadster. London Roadsters were made by Daytona Automotive Fiberglass, and assembled in LR’s factory on one of several chassis that they used. Strip away LR’s pinstriping and it’s a Daytona Migi.
And I know for a fact that not all Daytona parts are interchangeable with those on a Fiberfab.
I also didn’t mean to imply that Daytona and Fiberfab were good friends, since Daytona sued FF over copyrights.March 24, 2015 at 9:13 pm #263850What a scene that must have been.
Would probably make a great movie.March 25, 2015 at 6:57 am #263851Ed, were you thinking “War of the Roses”, or a Mel Brooks production.
March 25, 2015 at 8:28 am #263852Probably more Mel Brooks. I might actually work on this . . . .
