    @billnparts

    You’ve probably seen the photos of my slog around the track at Pocono Raceway, especially the one with the inside tire up in the air. That experience prompted me to install sway bars on this thing. I was amazed that Speedway Motors had a listing for bars for the MustangII. I ordered the rear one to start and was surprised how well it fit. I had to design a couple brackets to bolt the bar ends to the frame is all.

    That went well so I decided to order their front bar. No way could I make that work. The width was correct as far as mounting to the control arms but if I mounted it towards the front the bar wanted to tuck inside the front bumper. No structure there. Flipping it around and mounting it rearwards the arms on the bar hit the tire when turned to lock. Sent that back. I found a straight solid bar in my basement and ordered mounting bushings and brackets to fit. I mounted it rearward behind the oil pan sump and made arms from some square stock I had. Got a sway bar link kit and mounted them to the lower arms so as to not interfere with the tires. All went well and I’m waiting for a half decent day for a test drive.

    I’m not sure what’s up with this site but once again I am unable to upload photos.

    I’ve duplicated this post with photos on Facebook. I can’t figure how to share the link. It’s on the “Kit and Replica Cars” page.

    A very old photo to test with (not a chevy/ford kit).
