Hi I’m looking for a top and frame for a fiberfab ford kit, also a tonneau cover, anything considered, thanks Bruce.
March 2, 2009 at 2:28 pm #238348Bruce , if you can not find one try a Basspro shops there boat shop can bend one using s/s tubing and fittings from a boat top ,if there no boat shops close ,the next thing I would try is conduit tubing electrictions use in buildings to run wires in ,most if not all of them have benders when i did mine I also used 9/16 threded rod and nut as an adjuster it saved me a lot of time and can get the top adjusted to fit tight. as the top goes if you have the old one An upolster can sew one up by copying it . if not they can get a pattern from there supplyer. I hope I had some thing you could use. DanR.

Great advice from Dan R. These cars were out of production, most brands 20+ years ago. Although MG Magic in Miami, FL has stockpiled some TD Replica parts, any tops they’d have are going to be that old and vinyl doesn’t age well.
As far as getting a frame, MG Magic might help, but getting your top (material part) made by a local upholsterer/convertible top shop is the way to go. Having the old top for a pattern is good, but most better shops will be able to work from good pictures showing several angles.
April 11, 2009 at 9:29 am #238351I have CAD drawings for the top frame for Ford Fiberfab in PDF format. It has complete dimensions to make the frame. I can email the drawings to you if you want them.
