I haven’t had any problems so far. But my computer does a virus check in the background each night at 6PM.

I have never had a problem in this or any other forum.

I’ve also never heard of a virus that would infect a machine from a forum.

Running a nightly scan is not true protection guys & gals. You need software that is constantly running and actively monitoring your web and email activity. Think of the nightly scan as a blood test and treatment if an infection is found, but the active monitoring as a vaccination. Prevention is always better than a cure.

I run antivirus software (Symantec). It is always running in the background. I have had malicious web sites blocked by the anti-virus software. I have never seen the software kick in while i am in a forum.

Greg, would you be able to get more detail from your computer tech?
