I realize I should know this, but what TDr uses this logo?
November 9, 2014 at 9:41 pm #262083Dave,
I seached all over loking for that logo, I think it is TD letters, can’t find anything. Where did you get the image, that might help.BillBad Bill
November 9, 2014 at 9:43 pm #262084Ed will know. It’s what is on his 3rd brake light. (I think.)
November 9, 2014 at 10:05 pm #262085It was on a flickr slideshow “MGTD”. I know I’ve seen it before.
November 10, 2014 at 12:41 pm #262086I looked at Ed’s 3d brake light, it looks like he made the logo on it with tape or something. Wonder where he copied it from or got the idea. The search continues!

November 20, 2014 at 7:21 pm #262088Ray,
The logo on this New Zealand site is the same design and styl, however I couldn’t find a TD logo, just a TF and TG, maybe they made an earlier version of the car in a TD style. Here are the logos, I found on the site. I think you’re on the right track, the style is the same.BillBad Bill
November 20, 2014 at 7:28 pm #262089Ray,
Here is a better view of the TG logo.BillBad Bill
November 20, 2014 at 8:10 pm #262090I think I copied them. I don’t remember where I saw the TD-inside-octagon logo though, if anywhere.
Sorry.November 20, 2014 at 8:40 pm #262091I wonder if someone who makes jewelry could sand-cast a logo, to specs, in pot metal or brass. Or maybe it’s something that could be worked up on a 3-D printer.

The way these things work is similar to how you would build up something with a hot glue gun. The “glue” comes out about he thickness of a thread in a spiders web, so the “gun” which is mounted on a moving platform, makes thousands of passes. The finished product is very good.November 20, 2014 at 10:50 pm #262093Bill thanks thats the one .

November 21, 2014 at 12:39 am #262096Ray, look at the picture Dave posted, top of this page, I don’t think it is a TF kit, the headlights are not molded into the fenders, and the logo defintly says TD. I know the logo is the same style as the one in the site you listed, but it says TD not TF. Since the style is so close, I’m wondering if at one time they made a TD kit car? Their history section of their site doesn’t mention it. I guess we still have questions.

November 21, 2014 at 8:56 am #262097Just a little off topic, but if you are looking to replace your grill medallion, a repro TD grill medallion is only $40.

November 21, 2014 at 9:36 am #262098That’s the one I purchased from Moss. Plus I got a little funky with the engine rebuild and converted the VW oil dipstick to the MG oil dipstick. Length had to be cut and I remarked the notches to match the VW engine but the diameter fit like a glove.
