I recently purchased 2-rolling MG (VW based) kits and parts to build another. I need help identifying the maker(s) of 2 of the 3 kits. I know one is FiberFab because it has the “FF” emblem followed by a 7 digit serial # on the passenger side firewall( it is 6 digits with a -4).   The other rolling kit seems identicle to the FiberFab kit, but it does not have the “FF” (or any) emblem. Only serial #929918-78 embossed in the fiberglass on the pass side firewall. Is this a FiberFab also? and would the yr be 1978? The kit in pieces has no embossed #’s anywhere that I can find. Was there an MG kit that had NO #’s? Any help in ID would be appreciated-I would post pictures, but don’t know how…..Thanks

Steve, It’s good to have you in the group. You are really going for it starting off with three of these at once.I had three at the same time for about a week but two are enough. A sort of his and hers if you know what I mean.

About posting pictures,  On the first page of the forum the second item is picture postings. Click on it and it leads to instructions to post your pictures.Ithink it’s the second item from the top. The pics must be less than 500 mb or maybe it’s mp . I’m not very technical  but I have been able to make it work so you can do it too.

We would love to see pictures and it would help us identify what you have.

    Steve,

Not everybody embossed a serial number into the fiberglass. I know Classic Roadsters Ltd. did not. I’m sure there are others.

Toput pictures into a post, you need to store pictures on line, with a service like flickr, snapfish, etc. Then just click the “tree” icon above the text entry box (third from right, second row)and you’ll get a pop-up window asking for the image url.
