    Hi team,

    I just purchased an unfinished MGTD Ford Kit. I am beginning the process of gathering of few of the required parts. On page 58 of the directions it indicates the use of a VW wiper motor assemble. I went to the P & P yesterday and removed a complete assemble from a old style VW BUG. The distance between the dimples on fiber fab is about 151/2″ the distance on VW the wiper post is about 201/2″ So what part of the equation am I missing.

    Welcome to kit cars!

    I’m assuming that you removed from the wiper arms to the motor from the donor VW?

    You will probably just have to shorten one or both of the wiper arms. My VW based kit had the stock VW set up and one of the arms had been shortened.

    Did you actually remove the assembly from a beetle or did someone just hand you one and say it was from a beetle?  My guess is that it is out of a vw van.

    My 74 beetle assembly measures approx. 15 1/2 inches from shaft to shaft.
