I searched for “Tim Durham” and “Replica” and came up with Auburn

    Speedster Motorcars out of Florida.

Took my car out last weekend on Sat too- what a day!

Got the new tail lights and mirrors on. Will try to put a pic on later.

Tuesday, it gets new tires. I hate to wait – today is gorgeous here.

But, since 1992 is the date on the wheels….

Will suffer in the Z3 instead 😉

-P.S. I’m originally from NJ, but Spoiled in NC!

FYI – New parts are on their way – many thanks for the info on the convex mirrors and headlamp grills. I went out on my own and ordered tail light lenses too – we’ll just see how well you have taught me.
If I actually install them myself do I get to say that I work on my own car? Did I mention I have zero mechanical competence?

I believe both the brake system and fuel system were redone within the last 3 years. Of course I was also told the push button on the dash was the choke.

I had to buy a funnel in order to put gas into the car. The pipe leading to the tank is too long so the gas just flows back out. BIG surprise the first time. My mechanic did go through the fuel system a bit – and why yes, duct tape was mentioned – as in don’t remove the duct tape that is holding down the fuel line between the tank in the front and the engine in the rear.

Thanks so much – You guys are amazing!

The show in PA sounds like a really great idea.

I am working through some other issues with the car. Luckily I found a

shade-tree mechanic who used to work for VW. He has gotten the

engine stable – it now runs on all cylinders and the automatic choke is

reconnected – and, no, the push button on the dash was not a manual

choke as I was told when I got the car – it’s for the windshield washer

fluid which is not hooked up. 😉

Oh, and if you pushed the horn, you got a bit of a shock – literally. Pretty hilarious stuff. That’s temporarily fixed.

My biggest issues right now are with a gas smell when it sits in the

garage and the right turn signal does not work. Other than that, it

seems to be in pretty good shape.

    Hi Larry,

The picture is in the gallery now.

Its a ’52 replica. I was told I that it was originally bought in Greensboro

from London Roadster and I am the second owner.
