Just a little easier would be to purchase a cable shorting kit for like 6 bucks at roy rogers vw. Made my move of emergency brake somewhat easier.

Hi, if your wheels look like this/ | then i think it a safe bet you have a wheel bearing problem or missing bushing in the axle support. irs trans don’t let the wheels tilt in or out like a swing axle trans. look over in the samba forum there are some mighty sharp minds who know and can advise you better than i.
well, after much thought i had no way to fit the seats without making a cut out, only cut two x nine inches. put a plate across the tunnel and welded everything in. seat will now slide all the way back and set at [correct height.] i don’t think tunnel integrity will be lost. as soon a i learn to post photos i will.
