Dan – I took my seats to an upholstery shop that work on boats and had them rebuilt.

    Dan,

If you go to the Photo Gallery, look up Pink MG, you can see the seats and door panels I had re-done in leather. My seats were completley rotted, wood bases and all. I used marine grade plywood that I sealed with urethane (4 coats) and used stainless hardware to build new seat bases and a seat back.

Then I bought three leather hides from Keleen Leathers. I took the mildewed vinyl seat covers to a local, old school auto upholsterer. In the end, for all the materials and labor I spent about $1,400.

You can see how they look in the car by checking Larry Murphy’s Photo Gallery. Too bad you can’t smell the pictures!

There are many aftermarket seat manufacturers that make “retro” look low back bucket seats. Corbeau, Sparco, Scat, etc.

Finding tiny, low back buckets that would fit relegates you to 60’s British cars and their seats are big $$…for that matter, so are the aftermarket seats

Mark and the guys ; I found a pair of seats that I like from a Junk yard , no idea what they are from but the size works now to get them done ,  light gray with red piping white is nice but hard to keep clean I think I may get the top done in the same I know it is not correct but I like the look of piping!!!!!!  Dan
