Mel and I showed the cars, nearly a 100 feet apart, yet clearly related. His red, mine Cherry metallic, the same, yet just a bit different. It was VERY cold, and we did not stay to the end, and the crowd was almost gone and it was dark already anyway.
It was great fun to have Mel, me, the shelby, and my friends 57 VET all within a block for the show. Maybe next time it will be warmer!
Not a chance! It was about 50, dropping to around 45 by the time we left! Besides, Mel isn’t quite yet acclimated to warm weather like I am, so he can take the cold better than I can. Me, I’m a wous when it gets cold.
Hey even I felt the cold, mostly the wind did the damage. I had a fantastic time showing Greg’s and my car to the large crowds. Even the most strident Brits were impressed with our replicas.
