HI KEVIN ,Welcome to the forum. That’s a good looking TD and in my favorite color for these cars too. Are those air conditioning vents under the dash?

Thanks Guys, I just finished a Mustang build and was looking for a new

addition to the garage when i found this little jewel. The owner before me

hadn’t put but 150 miles on her in the past 3 years. After checking the

history of the car and checking everything out, it was just too good a deal

    (and car) to pass up.

In answer to the wheel question, the spinners are missing and that is one

of the current things I want to put back on the car. The center cap on the

spare says American Racing, but they do look like Westerns.

Any help with finding spinners will be greatly appreciated.

When the dash is finished, I’ll post some pics, I think the red mahogany

with matching steering wheel will bring the car together, with it being red

    with a black interior.

    Kevin,

The spinners that I have on my car came off of ebay. In my photos, the photo on the Blue Ridge Parkway has the Western hub covers that came with the car. I changed those out to the spinners you can see on the later photos. My ebay spinners look real deal, but are actually Cragar fake spinners with a center threaded rod. Originally they were probably attached to stamped metal hubcaps, but were separated when I got them. With very little modification, they mount perfectly on the Western Wheel. They are heavy metal with nice plating, I think I paid less than 10 bucks for all four. If I see anymore, I’ll let you know.

Revision to posting: I just visited ebay and there are lots of spinners. Mine are similiar to these, but without the tower and mine had the threaded rod in place. Mine were not new, very used. Mine came with a plate that had a threaded hole for the rod on the spinner. I simply attached the plate to the existing Western tower, then spun on the spinner. The spinners have two with right hand threads and two with left hand threads.

Thanks James, I looked around on eBay and found just what I was looking

for, going to make the car look much more authentic.

    Looks super! Nice spinners
I had changed my radiator logo to MG also. Found the MG emblem on ebay also. I had a problem with mine turning on the single bolt mount, so I had to apply some double stick on the inside. I had it tight, but it would wiggle until it was crooked. It stays put now.

Uggg Glendale!   You might as well be in Vegas hahaha. Too far for me, but if you ever venture out East let me know. As far as the AZ Kit Club, I have never been interested to join so I don’t know too much about them. I know there are weekly car shows all over the valley and I’m sure you’ll run into a member sooner or later. Good luck, I’m glad to finally meet a member in my neck of the woods~

PS there is an MG mechanic with lots of MG stuff right off the Scottsdale Rd. exit on the 202.

I’m in Glendale, usually, at least once a year, Helping my friends Gary and Tracy empty a wine bottle or two.

Gary happens to be the owner of a fine early year MGB and an active member and past president of the Arizona MG club. His club membrs are pretty open minded. I think they would accept a reproduction, altho it might cost a few extra beers. And they might be jealous that you break down less frequently than they do.

Let me know if you’d like to be introduced.

Geoff – We’ll catch up with one another one of these days, I’ll let you know

when I’m headed to a car show on that side of town.

James – Funny how close it looks on the map, must be the scale, lol

Paul – Let me know when your in the area, sounds like winner.

Well back to work on the car, trying to fix a few things while the dash is out,

seems a few wires were not hooked up correctly but I got them where they

belong now, thanks to this website and the build manuals posted here. Don’t

know what I would have done without that wiring diagram.
